If you haven't had the opportunity to see the Science Channel series "Prophets of Science Fiction" it's now on YouTube. Of course I was most interested in the Heinlein episode! It features commentary by Bill Patterson and Robert James.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Next post will probably be in 2013.

Vacation in the Golden Age of SF!
Writer Jamie Todd Rubin has posted a series of exhaustive reviews of issues of Astounding from the "Golden Age." Naturally, many include a Heinlein story (or two, one under a pseudonym).
Great example: Vacation in the Golden Age, Episode 27: September 1941, including "Elsewhere" and the final installment of "Methuselah's Children." Also, Isaac Asimov's big breakthrough, "Nightfall."
There are lots more of these, and lots more great content on his blog. Enjoy!

Bonny Doon from the Air
An aerial shot of the Heinlein's home in Bonny Doon (near Santa Cruz), California. It gives a good idea of just how innovative and unusual it is.
The Heinlein Society has a large number of photos of the house from ground level.
